ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: Samaira Shrestha, 21, is a student of social work. She joined the Satyagraha in Basantapur, Kathmandu demanding a better COVID-19 response from the Nepali government. For nine days, Samaira went without food and water but had to give up the Satyagraha fight when her health started failing. She says she will continue to question the government in whatever capacity she can. As a young activist, she hopes the government listens to the voices of people from all walks of life. “Why is the government busy with politics in the middle of this crazy pandemic?” she asks, “The situation is getting out of hand and we demand action now.”

#EnoughisEnough Satyagraha ended on 9 August, when the government signed an agreement with the campaigners to work together towards better handling of the pandemic.
