explorations in the photographic medium v. 1.5

This exhibition has been put together by photo.circle and seven Kathmandu University BFA students who have spent the past semester attempting to explore and understand the photographic medium.

Students have worked with ideas of memory, home and family. They have made photographs, collected, researched and installed photographs and incorporated mediums such as illustration, design, and video into their work.

We would be thrilled if you could join us for the opening on

FEATURED ARTISTS: Karma Gurung, Amulya Shrestha, Manika Sandha, Ankash Shakya, Sudeep Balla, Saran Tandukar and Ronaj Tamrakar.

Special thanks to Sujan Chitrakar and the Kathmandu University Center for Arts and Design for their interest in exploring the photographic medium and introducing it to their students!

Opening will be followed at 7pm by a screening of “I was worth 50 sheep” a film by Nima Sarvestani. The screening is part of BAC’s regular Friday night film screening program in collaboration with Film Southasia.
