Liz Lance holds a bachelor’s degree in South Asian Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and has completed post-baccalaureate coursework in Nepali language, literature and culture at Tribhuvan University’s Bhishwa Bhasha Campus in Nepal. Liz has also completed graduate work in documentary photography at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine, and was a participant at the Missouri Photo Workshop in 2007. She was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to undertake this photographic project. Liz begins her master’s studies in journalism at the University of Missouri in 2009.

PRESENTATIONS
Fair & Lovely: Beauty lies in Nepal
Liz spent eight months making photographs and recording audio with young women in Nepal, asking them about their views on beauty, body image and femininity. The seven multimedia presentations are a combination of still photographs and recorded audio, using the young women's voices to tell their own stories.
