Naresh Shrestha

Naresh Shrestha was born in Lalitpur in 1978 and turned to photography in 1998 while training as a fine arts artist. He enjoys night photography and finds inspiration in Ashesh Dangol's low-light works. In 2002, Shrestha started training under Raj Bhai Suwal and assisted him in shoots. After working for magazines such as ECS and Society and Life Magazine for a couple of years, he is now full time with The Himalayan Times and Annapurna Post. About photojournalism Shrestha says, " My objective is clear. What's in front of me is my frontline and I report the story with my camera in full faith and honesty." Shrestha is recipient of numerous awards such as 2nd Prize in the First Open Photography Competition during Bisket Jatra in 2060 BS and an award for Heritage Photgraphy by Heritage Photo Vision Nepal in 2006.
