Born in 1967 in Kathmandu, Alok Tuladhar is an Information and Communications Technology Entrepreneur. At present he is President at NepMed International Pvt. Ltd. When asked what inspired him to start taking pictures, Tuladhar says "Being a man of science, I was drawn to photography when I realized that it is the perfect combination of art and science. Also, taking pictures allows me to get close to the subject matter. My favorite subject of photography is people, so I feel taking pictures provides me new a avenue to get close to them." Some of Tuladhar's favorite Nepali photographers are Kishor Kayastha and Rajesh KC. Apart from photography, Tuladhar also takes keen interest in filmmaking.

Alok Tuladhar's special slide show of real slides projected on an old school clickity-click slide projector was a true feast for the eyes. Rich representations of Nepali life, Tuladhar's photographs are captured with a passionate eye and a purpose to document place and time as he has seen it, for his children and grandchildren.
