Narendra Shrestha

Narendra Shrestha works for Kantipur Publications and is the Nepal Photo Correspondent of EPA (European Press Photo Agency). With a Bachelors degree in Sociology and Anthropology, Shrestha did his preliminary training in photography at the Crystal Institute in 1992 followed by a diploma in photography at IIJB (International Institute of Journalism, Berlin) in Germany. He enjoys news, nature and wildlife photography.

Flood Relief
Having tagged along with a Nepal Army helicopter distributing food relief, Narendra Shrestha comes back to Kathmandu with testimony of mismanagement and dire need.

From birth to death, the color white plays a significant role in the lives and deaths of Nepali men and women. Highlighting this significance, Narendra Shrestha presents a collection of photographs that tell tales of trauma, beauty and tradition, all blanketed in the same white.
