photo.circle is pleased to announce an open call for membership! Photographers and enthusiasts from all walks of life are eligible to apply. Our introductory membership fee is Rs. 500 per year and benefits are as below.
photo.circle members can access the photo.circle resource center that offers photographers with equipment, space and services and a unique plug-in into the photo.circle community of creators. The resource center houses the following;
WORK STATIONS
Members can access work stations at the photo.circle office, equipped with high speed internet access and essential photography softwares including Photoshop CS5, Adobe Bridge and In-design for Rs.100/hour. Work stations should be booked 3 working days in advance and will be subject to availability.
PHOTO STUDIO
Members can rent a fully equipped photo studio with power backup at highly subsidized rates. Studio rental cost is Rs. 300/hour or Rs. 2000/day for members (Rs. 4000/day for non members). Studio should be booked 1 week in advance and will be subject to availability.
REFERENCE LIBRARY
Members can access the photo.circle reference library that is stocked (and growing) with inspiring photography books, magazines, books on photography theory, e-books, films and videos on photographers and photography in general. Please note that this is a reference library only and books can not be checked out. Library is open to members throughout the week from 10 am – 6 pm and weekends with prior information.
WORKSHOP SPACE
Members will have access to the photo.circle workshop space- a hall with seating capacity for 15-20 people (round table style), 30-35 people (theatre style) and 40-50 people (floor seating) at a highly subsidized rate. Workshop space rental cost is Rs. 2000/day for members (Rs. 4000/day for non-members). Rental cost includes a high quality multimedia projector and power back up (inverter + generator). Fuel for generator is extra. Workshop space should be booked 2 weeks in advance and will be subject to availability.
SCANNING
Members can use the resource center’s professional scanning facilities. Scanning fee for scans on the Rollei DF-S 60 is Rs. 25/scan for members and Rs. 50/scan for non-members. Scanning fee for high res professional scans on the Hasselblad Flextight X1 is Rs. 150/scan for members and Rs. 250/scan for non-members. Negative holders are available for the following sizes; 35mm, 120mm, 4×5. The Hasselblad Flextight X1 scanner is the only scanner of its caliber available in Nepal.
In addition to this, members will have access to the following services;
PORTFOLIO REVIEWS
Members can sign up for free portfolio reviews by photo.circle staff, local and visiting professional photographers. Portfolio reviews will be announced as and when scheduled.
EXCLUSIVE EVENTS
Members will have access to members-only events including discussions, lectures, presentations.
MEMBERS WEB GALLERY AND LISTING
Members will be featured on the photo.circle website members gallery and listed for assignment availability.
DISCOUNT ON WORKSHOPS
Members will receive a 5% discount on all photo.circle workshops and publications.

WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
Members can get assistance to develop their personal websites.
