photo.circle was established in 2007 as a platform for emerging and professional photographers in Nepal. Through workshops, publications, exhibitions and commissioned assignment work, photo.circle strives to create opportunities for photographers to learn, exhibit, publish and market their work.
Most recently, photo.circle has set up Nepal Picture Library, a photo archive that hopes to contribute to the study of Nepali photography, generate knowledge and raise questions about how we can explore issues of memory, identity, and history through images.
Through its website, active mailing list and informal networking, photo.circle strives to build a strong community of visual storytellers that continuously creates, shares and learns.
